6 months

Can you believe Corbin is already 6 months?! It's gone by so fast but it also seems like he's been with us much longer. Here's where he's at now:

Height: 27 inches (75th)
Weight: 17 pounds 6.4 oz (50th)
Head: 44 cm (50th)
Sleep: 12-14 hours in 24 hour period. Still waking up for feedings at night some. 9-10 hours at night, about 4 naps during the day, 30 min to an hour 1/2 each.
Eating: still nursing him every 3-4 hours. Baby food once or twice a day. Still introducing new fruits and veggies. We did increase his reflux meds because he started arching his back and screaming when nursing, again.
Diapers: size 2
Clothes: 6 month
Misc: Rolling stomach to back and back to stomach. He's all over the place. He's also sitting up. Still falls over but he's getting the hang of it. He likes to shake rattles and play with his blanket with little taggies on the edges. Loves his little jumper with toys all around. Smiles ALL the time!! Seriously, such a happy baby! He is also very loud!!! Haha! He also likes to put his feet in his mouth.

Anytime Colton is around, Corbin gets so excited and smiles. Colton will now play with him and Corbin cracks up. So cute!! They're going to be best buds. Corbin is such a sweetheart and is starting to reach for me when I go to pick him up.

Both boys are such a joy and I am so incredibly blessed to be their mom. I love watching them both grow every day!

Hair cut

Colton's hair was getting SUPER long, so we knew we were taking him to get a hair cut today. Yesterday, I decided Corbin needed one as well. His hair was seriously down to his eyes, but I just always brush it to the side. I actually had a hard time coming to grips with the fact that it needed to be cut all over. But today, we but the bullet and did it.

Corbin did fine until he heard Colton start to cry. Colton HATES hair cuts! So, Corbin cried for a while. Colton actually only cried half the time, which is a huge improvement.

They now look so much better! I love when Colton's hair is short. It looks so good on him. And Corbin...he looks so adorable! And much older. I love it! I'm sure we'll be taking them much more often now.

Girls Day

Saturday, I took a little day trip to Dallas with my friend Betsy. We went down to go shopping at Ikea. So that meant, Adam was solo with the boys all day. This was the first time he was with them alone for more than 3 hours. Honestly, I thought it was going to be hard on me, but it wasn't at all!

Betsy picked me up around 7:40 and we made it to Ikea by 10:20. This was my first trip to Ikea and I was so excited!!! Betsy majored in interior design and has such cute taste, so we were going to get new home decor for our house. Adam and I were both ready for a change. I cannot even tell you how much I LOVE this store!!! Oh my goodness! It's great!

We shopped for a while, then her mom met us there to have lunch (there's a restaurant in the store). After lunch, we went back to shopping. We were there for about 4 hours and I could've shopped longer!

We got back in the car, stopped for gas, then headed back. I got home around 5:30 and was pooped! I was super excited to see the boys too. Adam said they had a good day and the boys did great.

In all honesty, I kinda needed a girls day. I absolutely love staying home with the boys and wouldn't trade it for anything, but every now and then, it's good for me to get away for a bit with some friends. I can't wait to get the new decorations completely put up and put away! We had so much fun and hopefully more girls days will be in our future!

Easter weekend

We started off Easter festivities, Friday afternoon. Adam had some work to get done at home, so I took the boys to my moms to get out of the house. Mallory met us there and we colored eggs with Colton. He had so much fun throwing the little tablets in the cups and watching the vinegar and water change colors. I wrote his name on an egg and asked him what color he wanted. He would tell me what color, then I let him put (he threw) the eggs in the cups. He had so much fun with this!! While coloring eggs, we decided to take them to see the Easter bunny. I was hoping they wouldn't freak out.

We went to the mall and thankfully there was a short line. Colton was super excited when it was our turn and he walked up waving at the bunny. However, when it came time to sit on his lap...yeah right! He wanted no part of that. Instead he wanted to sit on the ground in front of him. I tried sitting Corbin on his lap and he flipped. So the only way we were getting their picture made was if I sat down too. Colton LOVES his picture of the Easter bunny and talks about how nice he was.

Saturday, we told Colton the Easter bunny brought him a basket with goodies. We did it Saturday because Adam had to work on Sunday. So the Easter bunny came a little early. He shook the eggs and was able to tell me whether they had chocolate or coins in them!

We also went to my aunts house in Edmond to have an early Easter lunch so everyone was able to come. Saturday was also Adams birthday! We had a wonderful lunch and afterwards, her neighborhood was having an Easter egg hunt for the kiddos. We took Colton and my mom and aunts came to watch. We showed him what to do a couple times and after that, he had the hang of it! It was so cute watching him pick up the eggs and put them in his basket! Of course he shook every one of them to see if there was anything in them. Between what the Easter bunny left him, the Easter egg hunt and what family gave him, we have enough chocolate to last us until Halloween!

Sunday, I took the boys to my aunts house (on my dads side) for some more Easter festivities. A lot of the family was there and some hadn't met Corbin yet. It was fun to see everyone and catch up! I have 2 cousins getting married this year, so it was fun to hear about that. Also, Colton got to play with his cousin, Joe! Joe is about a year older than Colton and they had a blast playing together!! Joe didn't want Colton to leave and Colton didn't want to leave either. So precious!!

Anyway, that was our weekend! Busy and filled with Easter fun, food and family!
